Masquepadel cruza el charco y envía expresamente a Ana Laura Boadla y Alberto Teba, dos magníficos periodistas (pero mejores amigos), a cubrir una noticia de máximo interés. Miami, la ciudad mas latina de Norte América, no contaba hasta hoy con ningún Club de Pádel.

AB Sports Club quizás se convierta en un Club de referencia que pase a la historia por ser el precursor del pádel en EEUU y, ya sabemos, si despega por aquellos no tardará demasiado en convertirse en un deporte global… Por si acaso masquepadel ha querido cubrir la noticia por todo lo alto, pero chicos, volved pronto que el presupuesto ya está cubierto…..

Esta semana queda inaugurado definitivamente el primer club de pádel de Miami (AB SPORTS CLUB), para gran alegría de todos los aficionados a este deporte que residen en la ciudad y sus alrededores.
Las instalaciones disponen de tres pistas de pádel de cristal (cubiertas), un campo de fútbol (6 contra 6), bar, TV y tienda de artículos deportivos.
Adrián Beltramino y Natalia de Biasi han sido los artífices de promover y materializar esta idea en un país en el que el pádel no es conocido más que por los argentinos, brasileños y europeos (mayoritariamente españoles) que viven por aquí.
Están absolutamente decididos a dar a conocer este fantástico deporte de una manera divertida; además, pretenden que el club sea un punto de encuentro social para los jugadores de la zona.
Incluso tienen el objetivo de conseguir la celebración del Campeonato Mundial del año 2012... ¡suerte, amigos! Allí estaremos para cubrir el evento.

Hemos estado en el flamante club y nos hemos percatado de la enorme ilusión con la que esta pareja se enfrenta a este gran reto; hemos probado las pistas (nos han parecido estupendas) y hemos pasado un rato muy agradable junto a un grupo de argentinos de gran nivel padelístico que también habían sido invitados a la jornada previa a la inauguración.
Desde aquí queremos darles le enhorabuena y desearles todo lo mejor en este precioso proyecto.

Since Miami is the most latin city around the USA, the appearance of padel courts was just a matter of time. So there it is, padel has started in the USA.

And these are the news from NBC miami:

It isn't tennis, racquet ball, or squash -- it's sort of a mix between the three -- but Padel is the biggest sport you've never heard of and it's now in Miami.

It's already found a following across Europe and Latin America, and thanks to a store in Aventura and a couple of courts at AB Sport Club, Miamians are getting into the game.

"I ask everybody, have you heard of Padel? Have you heard? and they say yes, yes, yes," said Vicky Mossucco, who sells Padel equiptment out of her store, Aventura Tennis. "This is an opportunity for a tennis player who doesn't play tennis that good, because it's not so demanding."

The game uses the same scoring system as tennis, but it also uses the walls of the court, much like raquetball.
"We came to Miami, all these people from all over South America, so we said this is a great place to bring the sport back here," said Natalia DeBiasi, who runs courts at AB Sport Club in Miami. "We've had people calling and thanking us, 'I've been looking for this forever since I got to Miami.'"

AB Sport Club has just two courts, and they're filled every night by players like Hector Romero, who played as a kid in Argentina.

"Wow, I can't believe it, we have the first Padel court here in Miami," Romero said. "When you learn how to play, it's really easy and really nice."
